The mission of the Pineywoods Community Academy Guidance and Counseling Department is to provide support and guidance through a collaborative effort from faculty, staff, parents, and community members to all students by promoting their personal growth, fostering academic success, post-secondary and career preparation, and personal social development as a means to prepare students to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and responsible citizens who display good character, who are ready to contribute, compete, and lead in today’s global society.

The primary responsibility of a school counselor is to counsel students to fully develop each student’s academic, career, personal, and social abilities.
